Chapter Officer Responsibilities

Chapter Chief

The Chapter Chief is responsible for the overall coordination of Chapter and Lodge activities and operations. His responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working with the vice chiefs to complete their jobs, presiding over all meetings of the chapter, representing the chapter at all lodge events whenever necessary, working on a calendar and schedule with the chapter and its advisors, and serving as a representative on the Lodge Executive Committee.

Vice Chief of Program

The Vice Chief of Program is responsible for the execution of all program areas with in the Chapter. This includes the selection and management, in conjunction with the Chapter Chief, of the following committees: Ceremonies, Service, Training and Twelfth Point. He is also to serve as an assistant to the Chapter Chief and act as Chief in his absence.

Vice Chief of Administration

The Vice Chief of Administration is responsible for the facilitation of any logistical aspects of chapter events and functions. He is responsible for the selection and management, in conjunction with the Chapter Chief, of Ordeal committee, Unit Election teams, Elangomat recruitment, Brotherhood committee, and Recognitions committee. He must coordinate with the VC of Communications to ensure all candidates are duly elected and qualified.

Vice Chief of Communications

The Vice Chief of Communications is responsible for the entire communication infrastructure of the Chapter and any other duties as assigned by the Chapter Chief. He is responsible for selection and management, in conjunction with the Chapter Chief, for Chapter Records, Secretary’s minutes at meetings, Troop Representatives, Chapter Newsletter, Chapter Website, Camping Promotions, and any other function which deals with communications within the Chapter.

Vice Chief of Finance

The Vice Chief of Finance is responsible for all financial aspects of Chapter operations. His responsibilities include, but are not limited to: keeping, with the cooperation of the Chapter Advisor, records of all Chapter debits and credits. His job also includes proposing with the help of the Finance Advisor a budget for the Chapter. He needs to make sure all members are up to date on there Lodge dues. If funds are needed for any Chapter event it is his responsibility with the help of his Advisor to find a way to raise such funds.
